Booking and payment

After you have booked the cottage we will send to your address/e-mail address driving instructions and the invoice for to make bank transfer.


Your booking is confirmed after you have paid the per booking fee (20% from total rent) within 7 days from the date in invoice or you have paid the total rent at once. We will confirm your booking when your is in our account.


The whole accommodation should be paid 5 weeks before your arrival.


If your booking has been made less than 5 weeks before arrival the accommodation should be paid in full.


If the pre booking fee, balance or other payments are not paid by due date, we have the right to cancel the booking.


Cancellation or changing the booking


If the client wants cancel the booking the cancelation must be always in written form.


The cancelation is valid when the owner of the cottage has received the document.


The per booking fee will not be returned if the client cancels the reservation. When the cancelation is made 5 weeks before the arrival and the client has paid the total sum of rent we will return the payment except pre booking fee.


In case of accident, sickness or death of the guest or someone living in the same household the reminder will be returned. This kind of cancellation has to be made immediately attached with a liable document.

The right of Metka Holiday Cottages to cancel a booking

In case of force majeure, Metka Holiday Cottages may cancel a booking. In this case the client will get the whole amount he has paid returned.

Accommodation in holiday cottage

The client will get the cottage key when arriving. It is always helpful that the client informs the estimated time of arrival.


The cottage is in clients use on the day of arrival from 16:00 o’clock till 12:00 o’clock on the day of departure in one week stay.


In the case of week-end stay the time of arrival is supposed to be Friday afternoon at 16:00 o’clock and departure will be on Sunday evening at 16:00 o’clock or otherwise agreed.


The right covers accommodation, sauna and use of rowing boat.


The cottage rent covers the furnishing, cooking and dishes, also heating and electricity. Guests bring their own bed linen and towels with or they also are able to rent them from Metka Holiday cottages.


The client is responsible to clean the cottage during the rental period and departure. If the cottage is not cleaned when the client is departing the owner is obliged to clean the cottage before the next client arrives the owner has right to make a supplementary charge of 40 – 150 € for the cleaning (depending the type of cottage). The client also can hire the cleaning service from the owner.


Only the number of person agreed is allowed to stay in the cottage. The use of tent or caravan (mobile home) on the holiday cottage plot is not allowed without the permission of the owner.

Compensation for damage caused

The guest is responsible for compensation of any damage caused to the cottage or its equipment during the occupancy directly to the owner.

Complaints

All objections and complaints regarding the accommodation must be made immediately if and when the cause for them arises during the stay.
